Kerry Garrison Bio
Kerry Garrison started in photography by doing product photography for several hobby-related Web sites he was running. Without having the funds to pay for a photographer, he needed to learn how to create good images, how to do lighting, and how to do post production. These experiences led to publication of images in several trade magazines.
In January of 2007, Kerry launched a photography Web site to help people to learn how to make their images better and show how to use different products. Very quickly CameraDojo.com became quite popular with photographers learning their craft and a year later a companion podcast was launched.
In 2008 a friend conned Kerry into helping him shoot a wedding with him. The challenge of fast-paced shooting and dynamic environments appealed to Kerry’s personality and Kerry started taking on more and more wedding and portrait work.
Today Kerry’s main business is still commercial and product work with a handful of weddings during the peak season. Kerry still runs the CameraDojo.com Web site and podcast and leads the OC Photo Club photography group based in Irvine, Ca.
In late 2010 Kerry joined forces with Nations Photo Lab to provide content for its new Learning Center and hosts their monthly webinar series. Kerry also tours trade shows and conferences giving presentations on Lightroom, Photoshop, and Lighting.
